The Process
Heat and Power – patented gasification system for heat and power generation.

Low Carbon Hydrogen production – utilsiting the patented front end gasification system with the CSS developed PSA and Carbon Capture Technology.

Our downdraft gasification technology is widely accepted as the cleanest and most efficient method of converting biomass and other feedstocks into syngas.
We add seven stages of syngas cleaning and cooling as part of our patented process, which creates syngas of the highest quality.
The syngas we produce has been proven to be cleaner than natural gas, making it one of the purest fuels available for power generation.
Standard methods for creating syngas use air in the gasification process, but by using catalysts and air enriched with up to 60% oxygen content, we have almost doubled the energy per unit volume of the syngas.
This hydrogen-rich syngas can fuel traditional engines to create heat and electricity, or can be used to produce hydrogen with up to 99.999% purity.
Producing syngas from biogenic feedstocks using gasification captures carbon in biochar – a carbon-rich material that looks like charcoal.
We also remove up to 80% of the carbon left behind by using a novel water-based process that is more eco-friendly and safer than chemical-based systems.
This carbon is captured in gaseous form, meaning it can be used for industrial processes or sequestered.
Gasification of woody fuels leaves behind 5% by weight as high-quality biochar that can be used as a carbon-rich soil improver.
Biochar can help decrease ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions from soil and manure by increasing the nitrogen retention of organic fertilisers.
It effectively delivers nutrients to crops and improves plant root development, and can help environmental restoration, carbon removal and soil regeneration.
Biochar can be added to concrete to increase its strength, decrease its weight, and reduce its carbon footprint.
